About Us

Shri Vardhaman Gruh Udhyog Mahila Mandal was established on April 23, 1985 in Akhatrij. This non-profit organization, which was founded by and for women, effectively strives to empower vulnerable women. The organization is active in 625 villages of 10 talukas of Surendranagar District. Since its founding, the mandal, which started with only five women, has provided vocational training to more than 30,000 women in cooperation with other government initiatives. A main goal of the institution is to create income-generating work. We focus on food process related businesses because food is a constantly recurring need in society. Currently, 300 women work for the organization on a variety of projects and make between Rs. 5,000 and 7,000 a month. In addition, 70 male staff work diligently on several institutional initiatives. A welfare fund of an extra Rs. 3 lakhs is used by the school to support the staff's educational and medical needs in addition to paying a salary of Rs. 35 lakhs yearly. Every employee of the institution receives full insurance coverage as well. The organization is committed to helping its staff feel like a family. To this purpose, an annual tour is planned, to which everyone is invited, from the board of directors to the newest staff. The activities we do during this downtime support our Mandal's mission of cultivating a sense of family.
